There is nothing quite like the thrill of seeing your name on the cover of your very own book. Everyone has a book in them and the purpose of this 4 day intensive, hands-on Masterclass is simple: to help you write the best book you can and to help you become a published author.
There’s no magic formula that leads to publication and any writer will tell you, it requires a lot of hard work and perseverance. Publication can't be guaranteed but this demanding Masterclass will provide you with particular skills and know-how and bring you along the road to becoming a published author. You'll receive professional guidance and learn down to earth writing techniques to help turn your manuscript into a publishable book.
You’ll discover new ways to tackle the business of writing, with practical tips and hints on the secrets of the publishing process, what publishers and literary agents look for and how to present your manuscript to maximise the chances of your book being accepted. And we keep classes small to ensure individual attention.
Who is the Masterclass for?
This Masterclass is for anyone who wants to write, who has a book in them, whether an idea, a part completed manuscript or a finished script. If you're serious about your writing, if your dream is to be published and you like Italy, then this Masterclass is for you.
Where it happens
Your Masterclass takes place in Villa Palazzola, a beautiful lakeside jewel set amid acres of unspoilt woodlands in the Alban Hills overlooking Rome. Calm, peaceful and secluded, Palazzola is a medieval monastery with its own cloister, beautifully restored and renovated to a high standard. The Villa has stunning views across Lake Albano to Castel Gandolfo, Rome and the Mediterranean glistening in the distance. Palazzola is Rome’s best kept secret.
You’ll enjoy delicious Italian meals served in the oakpanelled dining room and sleep soundly in your ensuite bedroom. It’s the perfect place to hone your creative writing skills, to meet and share experiences with other writers while getting the very best from our expert professional guidance in a relaxed setting. Who presents the Masterclass
Each Masterclass is presented by two skilled professionals. The first is always an established fiction author with several books to their name, someone who knows the ups and downs, the joys and challenges of writing and getting published.

Together they will share with you unique insights and specialist experience of writing and publishing, using tried and tested techniques, group and individual exercises and practical advice tailored to your needs.
